Day 1: Kunming to Dali (Overnight train K9626/K9627 23:30 - 06:01)
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the train station for overnight ride to Dali. If your flight will be landing in the morning, an excursion trip to the Stone Forest or city sightseeing can be added in.

Hotels: overnight train (soft sleeper)


Day 2: Dali
Meet your guide at train station and go on for a visit of the Ancient City of Dali, Erhai lake (including cruise)  and houses of Bai People in Xizhou.

- Erhai is huge lake, occupying an area of 250 square kilometers. It is a gem of Dali and Yunnan province offering diverse food for local people. Visitors can take a boat ride to enjoy the breath-taking landscape, traditional cormorant fishing and local houses of Bai Minority people.

- Xizhou is a typical village of Bai people, about 20km from Dali city. It is an unspoiled village with much character and charm. Except the local houses with exquisite sculptures, woodcarving and colored drawing, Shaping Monday local market, you can also try three tea ceremony at Xizhou.

- Dali Old Town refers to the ruins of the ancient city which was once encircled by city wall. The city is located at the west of the Erhai Lake with the cangshan at backdrop. Visitors can now take nice walk through the cobble-stone street, visit old courtyard homes, cafes and shop for typical souvenirs.

Day 3: Dali to Lijiang 
After breakfast, drive some 2 hours to Lijiang. En route, visit the Three Pagodas. On arrival, visit Lijiang Ancient Town.

- Three pagodas in Dali is unique in China with extremely long history and ancient Buddhist architectures. The three independent pagodas form a symmentric triangle, visible from miles away. It is an icon of Dali and a must-see of Dali tour, especially enjoying a further walk to the back of the complex and a climb up to the building for a bird view of Dali and Erhai Lake.

- Lijiang old Town has a history over 800 years and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was once one of the key points along the old tea horse road. Different from other ancient towns in China, its architecture, culture and art has strong characteristics of local Naxi people.

Day 4: Lijiang
Visit the Jade Dragon Mountain (at Ganhaizi) and the Mural in Baisha Village.

-Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, known as Yulong Snow Mountain, is a mountain range stretching a length of 35 kilometers (22 miles) in Yunnan Province, southwestern China. Part of Yulong Snow Mountain near Lijiang has been developed into a scenic area, offering cable car ride up to the mountain to hug the glacier.

- Baisha Mural Paintings were created on the wall of the local temples. It is 400 years old and remained unrepainted and unrepaired. Paintings are kinds of Medieval European style with a mixture of Naxi culture, Mahayana Buddism, Tibetan Buddism and Taoism.

Day 5: Lijiang to Emeishan via Chengdu (Flight)
Take morning flight from Lijiang to Chengdu. On arrival, be met and transferred to Emeishan Mountain. En route, visit Leshan Giant Buddha and take a cruise to appreciate the Leshan Giant Buddha

- The Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest stone Buddha in the world carved out of a cliff at the confluences of the three big rivers near Leshan, Sichuan, China. The statue is 71 meters tall, sitting with hands resting on his knees. The huge Buddha was started to built in 713 to calm the trabulent of waters.

Day 6: Emeishan to Chengdu
After a day visit of Emei Mountain and Monastery of Ten Thousand Years. Drive back to Chengdu city.

- Mount Emei is one of the Four Holy Mountains of China and it is the site of the first Buddhist Temple built. Located in Emei city, 2 hours away from Chengdu, Mount Emei provides wonderful mountain scenery, Buddhist culture, Sunrise and clouds Sea.

Day 7: Chengdu
Panda Breeding and Research Center.

- Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base is a semi-jungle conservation in the suburb of Chengdu, China. The base was established in 1987 and opened to the public in 1995. It focuses on increasing the population of giant pandas and eventually release some of the them back into the wild. Besides, the base is also home to many other endangered animals.


Day 8£º Chengdu Deprture
Visit Jinli Old Street, Wu Hou Temple. Drive to Airport for departure.

- Jinli is restored from an old street with a history over 1800 years. The 350-meter long street lined with many souvenir shops, wine bars, teahouses and snack stalls. Visitors who don't mind the crowds, it is a great places to enjoy a sight of local Chengdu and authentic food.

- Wuhou Temple in Chengdu was built in 1672 to dedicate to a China's historic figure - Zhugeliang. It contains a number of statues of Zhugeliang and other well known people who play important role in his lifetime. The memorial hall is large with an area of 37,000 square meters. It is a nice place to wander around the passes and enjoy the aged compex and the many inscribed stone tablets.
